Winthrop House was Rob's home from February of 1996 until June of 1998.
Kendra lived two blocks away, in fair Dunster House. We took most of our
meals with friends in Winthrop's marvelous subterranean dining hall; we
danced at our first formal on those
same checkered floors. Short afternoon naps together on the hidden window
seats of the elegant Junior Common Room... Printing Kendra's senior thesis
in the Computer Lab... Lazy weekend hours spent sorting residents' mail
in the Mailroom... He asked her to be his girlfriend one sunny April afternoon,
here in Winthrop G-32.
