The Program
The Schedule
- Gather at Winthrop House
- Please arrive at Wintrhop House by 4 pm, as we will leave promptly for the Footbridge.
- Proceed to the Weeks footbridge
- The Groom and his men invite guests to accompany them to the site of the ceremony, the Weeks Footbridge over the Charles River. The walk is not longer than two average sized city blocks.
- Bridal Procession
- Shortly after the groom and guests arrive at the bridge, the Bridal party will process from Winthrop House to the Footbridge.
- The Ceremony
- The Bride and Groom ask their guests to stand with them throughout the ceremony, which will be officiated by Steven Bishop.
- Reception
- Immediately following the ceremony, guests are invited to a cocktail reception in the Winthrop House courtyard. The wedding party will join them upon completion of the wedding portraits.
- Lion Dance
- The reception will feature a lucky lion dance performance by the Wah Lum Kung Fu Association of Boston.
- Dinner
- A barbeque feast from Redbones will be served around 6:30 pm in the Winthrop House Dining Hall. Come prepared to toast the new couple, and save room for the special dessert!
- Dancing
- Bring your dancing shoes and help the Bride and Groom celebrate their new marriage. DJ Ron Boston will be spinning tracks, both old and new, in the Winthrop House Junior Common Room.
